Winter is regarded as the UK's most successful surfer

Newquay's Russell Winter has continued to impress at the Boardmasters after becoming the first British surfer to qualify for the fourth round.

Compatriots Sam Lamiroy and Reubyn Ash will attempt to join Winter in round four when the action resumes at Fistral Beach on Friday.

Winter will now face South African Travies Logie in the last 16.

Brazilian Andre Teixeira and South African Brendon Gibbens are the other two surfers through to round four.
