Cornish Pirates have signed Exeter hooker Tom Cowan-Dickie and winger Drew Locke on dual-registration deals.

Cowan-Dickie, 19, who is currently a member of Exeter's England rugby academy, spent time on loan with Redruth in National One last term.

Locke, 23, who has previously had a spell at Coventry, has been capped by England Students.

Pirates chief executive Rod Coward said: "We are happy to welcome Tom and Drew as dual-registered players."

He added: "It will increase our squad number and give us greater strength in depth as we believe both young players have potential.

"Tom will train with us and only revert to Exeter if they require him for A team rugby and Drew will train and remain with the Chiefs and only come here if required for a specific game."
