Jersey's mixed touch rugby team went out at the semi-final stage of the European Championships in Bristol after narrowly losing to Wales. Wales got the better of the Islanders by six touchdowns to four, ending Jersey's run of seven successive wins. Jersey, who have won the tournament on three previous occasions, were unbeaten through the group stages recording wins over Ireland, France and Germany. In 2009, Jersey lost to England in the final of the competition.
