Vagabonds were left frustrated after being beaten 27-28 to Widnes in rugby's South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One on Saturday. The home side led with minutes remaining before Widnes bagged a last minute try and held their nerve to kick the match winning points. The result sees Vagabonds remain in 12th position with Widnes fourth. Meanwhile Douglas were also left disappointed after going down 13-12 at Trentham in Division Two. But with Southport also losing, the defeat means Douglas remain in seventh spot. Elsewhere, Castletown romped to a 60-7 victory at Emerging Nomads in the Shimmin Wilson Manx Bowl.
