Cameron Donald says he is ready for this year's Isle of Man TT races after recovering from a serious crash at Keppel Gate last year.

The Relentless TAS Suzuki rider set the unofficial lap record in 2009 before dislocating his shoulder during a crash in the final practice session.

"It's been a long recovery, almost six months, but I'm back to full fitness now and can't wait to race," he said.

In 2008 Donald won both the opening Superbike and Superstock races.

The results meant the Melbourne rider became the first Australian to enjoy an Isle of Man success since Graeme McGregor topped the podium in 1984.

Before his crash last year, the 32-year-old had completed the mountain course in 17:13.25 seconds, to become the first man to lap the course at over 131mph, with an average speed of 131.457mph.

Donald will team up again with New Zealand rider Bruce Anstey at this year's event.
