Vagabonds were beaten 23-13 at Glencrutchery Road by a physical Warrington side in South Lancs/ Cheshire Division One on Saturday. The teams went in level at 8-8 at half-time but in the second half the visitors took control and stormed into a 23-8 lead and held off a late rally. In Division Two Douglas were beaten 18-10 away at Orrell Anvils. In Division Three, Ramsey continued their impressive season with a 19-6 win away at bottom side Helsby. On the island, Southern Nomads picked up their second successive Shimmin Wilson Shield after an unusual sequence of events. Nomads beat their own second team 47-7 at King William's College while their nearest challengers Douglas B were forced to abandon their match with Ramsey at Port-E-Chee. Douglas were trailing 3-0 after 20 minutes when a series of injuries forced them to abandon the game, handing the title to the Nomads.
