Biggest names in darts to contest island tournament

Some of the biggest names in darts will descend on Douglas this weekend for the 25th running of the Isle of Man International Darts Festival.

Last year, Stockport's Daryl Fitton threw exceptionally to beat then-BDO world champion Ted Hankey 3-1 in the final at the Villa Marina.

Joining Fitton on the podium was Wales international Julie Gore, who won her third consecutive ladies title.

The tournament will run from the 12-14 March in Douglas.

Amongst those hoping to take home the title will be current BDO champion Martin Adams and the Lakeside runner-up and 2008 Manx champion Dave Chisnall.

Colin Tyrer will lead the Manx challenge after reaching the quarter-finals last time round.
