Chisnall claims shock darts win
Dave Chisnall
Chisnall beat Welsh international Robert Hughes in the final
Lancashire's Dave Chisnall produced a major shock to win at the men's Isle of Man International Darts Festival.

En-route to the final, Chisnall clinically dispatched former world champion Ted 'The Count' Hankey and former world number one Gary Anderson.

Then in a compelling final he defeated Welsh international Robert Hughes 3-1.

A jubilant Chisnall declared: "This is without doubt my biggest win and I intend to plough my winnings into chasing rankings points."

Fellow county team-mate Lisa Ashton came close to making it a double success for Lancashire, toppling world champion Anastasia Dobromyslova before losing out in the final to the defending Champion Julie Gore of Wales.

Gore declared: "I won the title on double five to win last year and then hit the same double to knock out Trina Gulliver and now it has won me the title for the second time. I am still shaking - this is a really great tournament to win."
