Jersey Rugby Club strolled to a comfortable win against Basingstoke in National Three on Saturday. The league leaders rarely looked troubled as they ran in eight tries in front of over 500 fans at St Peter. Scores from Donovan Saunders and Michael Le Bourgoise, along with two penalties from Dan Hawkes gave Jersey a 18-0 lead at half-time. As Basingstoke tired after the break, Jersey scored a further six tries, with Saunders completing his hat-trick. The other try scorers were Sam Tuia, Nick Trower and Graham Bell, with a penalty try also awarded.
