Exeter Chiefs proved too powerful for the Cornish Pirates as they completed a league double and claimed a bonus-point win at the Recreation Ground on Sunday. Two penalties from Gareth Steenson and a try from Andy Miller had given the visitors a 13-0 half-time lead. Blair Cowan touched down for the Pirates after the break before Richie Baxter scored his first of two tries. Neil Clark also scored for Exeter before Ben Gulliver and Dave Ward crossed the line for the Pirates. Baxter's two tries, included an impressive individual effort, running from his own five-metre line to score.
