Cornish Pirates slipped to a narrow defeat at Bedford on Saturday, with just a James Pritchard penalty separating the two sides.

Bedford's sole try came from number eight Chris Goodman, with Pritchard adding the conversion.

Hooker Rob Elloway was the try scorer for the Pirates, with Rob Cook adding the conversion and three penalties.

But it was Prichard who made the difference for the home side, kicking four penalties to ensure the win.
