Cornish Pirates will hold Sunday's "away" game with Birmingham & Solihull in Camborne, because of fears over the Midlands club's frozen pitch. Pirates chief executive Rod Coward said both clubs wanted to avoid any further backlog of fixtures. He said: "The Bees felt their ground at Sharmans Cross Road would remain unplayable beyond the weekend. "This agreement has been sanctioned by the RFU, who are as anxious as the clubs to limit the fixture congestion." Birmingham will receive the gate money from the fixture, minus the Pirates' costs for staging the game.
