John Hill has led his Launceston side up to fourth in National League One |
Launceston consigned National League One backmarkers Manchester to a 15th straight defeat of the season with a comprehensive win at Polson Bridge. The Cornish All Blacks never looked troubled as they ran in 10 unanswered tries, including a penalty try. Kieron Lewitt and Dave Kimberley both bagged two tries apiece. Jon Fabian, Steve Perry, Tom Rawlings, Lewis Webb and Jason Luff also crossed, while Tony Yapp (5) and Jake Murphy (3) added eight conversions with the boot. The result sees Launceston cement their place at fourth in the table, now nine points clear of Newbury (5th). Hapless Manchester, who are still searching for their first league win, stay bottom, having now shipped 1,407 points in 15 games this season. But this was their third least heavy defeat of a miserable campaign.
