Launceston relinquished a 3-0 half-time lead to lose to National One leaders Esher at Polson Bridge. A Tony Yapp penalty gave the Cornish All Blacks the advantage, but Esher fought back after the break to take the points back to Surrey. Esher winger Richard Briggs went over for the game's only try, which was duly converted by full-back Sam Ulph as the visitors showed their class. There was also a penalty apiece for Yapp and Ulph in the second half.
