Adams joined Bristol in the summer from Gloucester along with Dan Norton |
Bristol centre Jack Adams has revealed a change in the team's training routine the day before a match has been behind their recent good form. Bristol have scored 13 tries to two wins against Coventry and Plymouth since since their loss to Doncaster. "We now all meet in one changing room, rather than two, have a chat about the session before we go out on the pitch," Adams told BBC Radio Bristol. "People were doing their own thing before and weren't on the same page." He continued: "The kickers might go out on their own or some people might want to go and do some passing. "Now we all warm up together, discuss what we're going to do and go out and do it. | You need that closeness for everyone to buy into the same thing and it's worked well so far |
"It's more regimented but I think it works." The 22-year-old has played in eight of the 10 games since joining from Gloucester in the off-season and is glad he made the decision despite stepping down from the Premiership. "When I came here in the summer and spoke to Paul Hull he told me exactly what his plans were and we're doing exactly that," said Adams. "It's nice to come into a team and play regularly and all the boys are behind each other. "You need that closeness for everyone to buy into the same thing and it's worked well so far." Bristol, who lie in second spot in the Championship, face third-placed Nottingham at the weekend.
