Cornish Pirates narrowly lost their last game of the season to a well-drilled London Welsh. It was a disappointing result for the Pirates who bid farewell to several players and acting coach Brett Davey. The Exiles led 3-0 at half-time and then extended their lead with a penalty try after the re-start. On his final appearance for the Pirates, full-back Marika Vakacegu went over in the corner after scrum-half Nick Griffiths set him up.
