Paul McKenzie scored two tries early on in the first half |
Exeter Chiefs' dreams of promotion to the Premiership are all-but over after an error-filled defeat at Coventry. Paul McKenzie scored twice to give the Chiefs a 13-3 lead, only for George Dixon and Mike Walls to reply for the home side. Gareth Steenson added a third Exeter try but their second half display was full of errors, with Stephen Ward their only try scorer. They were punished when Ben Toft ran in from 80 yards to seal Coventry's win.
