Vagabonds and Douglas in to final

Rugby Union

Vagabonds and Douglas booked their places in the BSM Manx Cup Final after both teams won their respective semi-finals 37-12 on Saturday.

In the first semi-final Southern Nomads shocked the Vagabonds crowd by scoring first and led 12-10 at half-time.

But the South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One side dominated the second-half with five unanswered tries.

Meanwhile poor discipline cost Ramsey dearly as Douglas eased to a 37-12 win at Port-E-Chee Meadow.

Douglas started much the stronger and led 17-0 at half-time.

The Division Four high-flyers scored a try after the break but after Ramsey had two men sin binned Douglas ran away with the tie.

Elsewhere, it finished all square between Castletown and Douglas B in the opening round of the Shimmin Wilson Manx Bowl at Poulsom Park.
