Vagabonds continue to struggle in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One after losing 39-24 to high-flying Widnes at Glencrutchery Road on Saturday. Vagas rang the changes but it was the visitors who led 25-5 at half-time with prop Ben Woods scoring for the Manx. Bryan Kennaugh added two more tries after the break which Jonny Beckley converted to give the home side hope. Unfortunately Widnes added two of their own to make the game safe and Kevin Riley scored a late consolation. Meanwhile, in Division Two there was more disappointment for Manx outfits as Douglas lost 19-5 away to Wallasey in a disjointed performance. Again changes to the line-up cost them as they struggled to find their rhythm early on and trailed 19-0 at the interval. In the second half, Peter Fisher's try gave Douglas some encouragement but they could not muster the fightback. Elsewhere, in Division Four Ramsey thrashed Merseyside Police 60-12 at Mooragh Park to move to within a point of the leaders West Park Warriors. Ramsey's led 29-12 at the break through tries from Ben Harding, Aneurin Pritchard (2), Nick McCudden and Fintan Cummins who also added two conversions. The second half was one-way traffic with Aneurin Pritchard and Nick McCudden both completing their hat-tricks and Tynan Pritchard also crossing. Fintan Cummins added a drop goal and four conversions to finish with a 20-point personal haul.
