Mounts Bay suffered another setback in their fight for National Two survival with a 28-16 defeat in North Yorkshire.

Wharfedale dominated the opening period with a Dave Charnley try helping them to a 10-0 lead.

Bay rallied through second-row Ben Hilton, who put them within touching distance of their hosts.

But Wharfedale took control in the second half, with a try for centre Chris Malherbe and two for full-back Adam Whaites condemning Bay to defeat.
