Mounts Bay scored all their points in the first half to beat mid-table Blaydon at the Mennaye Field. Lock Ben Hilton and centre Sam Parsons went over for the Penzance club, with a conversion from Doug Sanft. It was a scoreless second period, with Blaydon repelling intense pressure from the hosts. As well as making the opening try, hooker Jamie Salter was outstanding as the players put their wage cuts behind them to pick up vital points.
