Mounts Bay made the most of their reprieve in the National Trophy, edging out London Scottish at the Mennaye Field in Penzance. Two Dan Hawkes penalties sent the National Two club into the last eight, after he twice nudged Bay ahead. The exiled Scots scored the only try when lock Graeme Smith intercepted a pass to easily score. But Hawkes' kicking was the difference, as they inflicted the National Three South leaders first defeat this season.
