Chiefs' McKenzie settling in well

Exeter Chiefs centre Paul McKenzie says he is settling in well to life at Sandy Park after six weeks at the club.

Ireland A international McKenzie, 24, joined the club from Magners League side Ulster at the start of November.

He has scored six tries in four matches for the Chiefs and is set to start against Leeds Carnegie on Saturday.

"I've really enjoyed it so far. I've enjoyed the change of faces and the scenery and I think it's been quite refreshing for me," said McKenzie.

And McKenzie feels that his game has benefitted from coming into a Chiefs side which has lost just once this season and sits second in National League One.

"To come to a winning side and a side full of confidence has done me good mentally and I think it's done my rugby a bit of good," he told BBC Devon.

He also thinks playing in National One, which has promotion and relegation unlike the Magners League, has helped him.

"Sides can hover comfortably in the mid to low table whereas in National One it's pretty competitive the whole way through," he said.
