Exeter Chiefs director of rugby Pete Drewett says his side must put Saturday's 12-12 draw Esher behind them ahead of their clash with Leeds.
The draw left the Chiefs five points behind the Yorkshire side at the top of National One and Drewett told BBC Spotlight his side must bounce back.
"It's vital that we do that and we'll be inspired to do it," he said.
"We have set ourselves very high standards at this club and we fell below those on Saturday."
Drewett added: "To be fair to Esher, they came with a game plan, they played very well and credit to them to be honest."
But he said that despite being five points behind Leeds, who have won every match so far this season, a defeat when the two sides meet would not end their hopes of going up.
"We go up to Leeds next week and it's great opportunity for us," he said. "There's 14 more games so a lot more can happen."
