Former Cornish Pirates man Nathan Kemp scored two tries for Jersey |
Jersey ran in seven tries as they hammered bottom side Haywards Heath 43-7 on Saturday to move up to third place in London One. Jersey were 33-0 up at half time after five first-half tries from Matt Le Bourgois, Talite Vaioleti, Sam Tuia and two for Nathan Kemp. Mitch Burton kicked four first-half conversions for the island side. In the second half Burton got a try of his own, while Le Bourgois got his second to round off the win. "It was an excellent win. They were very, very good," Jersey coach Ben Harvey told BBC Radio Jersey. "The things which were good at last week we continued and got even better at. We were very clinical and 33-0 up at half time tells its own story. "We didn't give them any opportunity to counter attack or set anything up from set-piece play, so across the board it was a very good performance." Jersey are third on points difference and lead a pack of five teams all level on 10 points. Shelford still lead the table with 15 points while Barnes are second with 12.
