Exeter Chiefs defeated National One rivals Nottingham 29-18 despite having flanker Richie Pugh sent to the sin bin early in the game.

Second-placed Exeter took a 10-3 lead over third-placed Nottingham through centre Stephen Ward at Sandy Park.

Nic Sestaret, Fijian Josh Drauniniu and and hooker Neil Clark ensured Exeter's bonus point to keep up the pressure on league leaders Leeds.

Nottingham's tries went to winger Alex Dodge and back row Gareth McComb.
