Cambridge back-row Tom Powell has said he hopes to make a quick recovery from the hamstring injury he suffered in Saturday's win over Mounts Bay.
The 23-year-old was left out of James Shanahan's first XV for the opening match of the season but has since forced his way back into the side.
Powell told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "We'll wait and see how long it will be but hopefully it won't be too long.
"It's one of those things than happens, you've got to take it on the chin".
It is not the first time Powell has suffered a hamstring injury, having missed the start of last season with a tear.
The former Harlequins man arrived at West Renault Park from Northampton in 2007.
Cambridge are up to second in National Two following a 76-3 win over Mounts Bay on Saturday but Powell said despite his side's good start to the season they can still improve.
"We want to finish games strongly, the last few weeks we haven't really gone for the jugular," he said.
"The coaches really want us to maintain our performance throughout the whole game."
