Charnley has yet to play a game for Wigan Warriors

Wigan Warriors have recalled back Josh Charnley from his loan spell at Hull KR to provide cover for injuries.

The 19-year-old has impressed for the Robins scoring five tries in as many appearances, including a hat-trick in the 28-26 win over Castleford.

Martin Gleeson is out with a hernia problem while Darrell Goulding and George Carmont are also sidelined.

"He's a great kid and it's a credit to him the way he's performed when he left us," coach Michael Maguire said.

"In pre-season he was probably one of our best performers and I knew at some stage he was going to pop up throughout the year.

"I knew he was going to be a quality kid and I'm looking forward to having the opportunity to have him in our team. He's got a great future in the game."
