Martin Gleeson joined Wigan in April 2009

Wigan Warriors centre Martin Gleeson has been ruled out for two games after having surgery on a hernia problem.

The 30-year-old had the operation last week but is scheduled to return for the Warriors' clash with Bradford on Friday, 3 September.

Head coach Michael Maguire said: "We took the decision for Martin to get the problem sorted.

"We decided with no game last week and the Cup final this weekend it was an ideal time."

Gleeson has made 17 appearances this season scoring seven tries.
