Wakefield's George and Morton recover from surgery

Wakefield

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats wingers Luke George and Dale Morton have both successfully undergone surgery.

Morton, who has been out for the last month, has had a knee reconstruction and George, who has not featured since mid-June, has had a shoulder operation.

"Both players have come through their operations well," said coach John Kear.

"They will both enter their rehabilitation programmes at the appropriate time under the direction of the club's medical staff."

Wakefield, in 10th place, four points adrift of eighth-placed Crusaders, have just three games of the current Super League season left.

And Kear's men go into this Sunday's home clash with Warrington knowing that defeat will almost certainly end their hopes of a place in the play-offs.
