Former Great Britain prop Danny Ward, is among 12 players released in an end-of-season squad cull by Hull Kingston Rovers boss Justin Morgan. Ward, 27, who joined from Castleford last year, has been let go along with several of the team who won promotion to Super League a year ago.
Luke Dyer, who only missed one Super League game this season, is set to join Celtic Crusaders with Mark Lennon.
Mark O'Neill is retiring and on-loan Ian Hardman is returning to St Helens.
The other players who are being released are; Matty Brooks, Byron Ford, Tommy Gallagher and Gareth Morton, who all ended the season on loan to other clubs, and Andreas Bauer, Jon Goddard, Iain Morrison, David Tangata-Toa and Ryan Tandy.
Morgan said: "I would like to thank all the players that are leaving for their contribution this year and last year.
"This season has been an achievement that they should be proud of. I wish each and every player success for the future."
Morgan has already made six new signings for the 2008 season with more still to come.
