Calderwood was ruled out for the season in July

Hull FC have released former England international Mark Calderwood.

The 28-year-old arrived at the KC Stadium in 2008 on a two-year contract but his time at the KC Stadium has been dogged by injuries.

The former Leeds and Wigan winger made just four appearances during last season's campaign after suffering recurring hamstring problems.

The club have also confirmed they have released 11 players from their Under-20 and Under-18 squads.

Chief executive James Rule said: "I would like to thank all the players for their contribution at Hull FC and wish them the very best for the future."
