Hull FC winger Mark Calderwood has further injury blow

Calderwood is in his second season at Hull

Hull FC will be without winger Mark Calderwood for at least another month following a scan on his torn hamstring.

The 28-year-old former Great Britain international's injury has not cleared up as well Black and Whites coach Richard Agar would have like.

Agar told BBC Radio Humberside: "We had him re-scanned and it's not terrific news for Calders. We're hoping we can get him back in four or five weeks."

Calderwood has already missed two months because of the injury.

The Black and Whites were hoping for better news but the latest setback means the former Wigan and Leeds player will not play until August at the earliest.

Agar said: "We were working on a three-month timescale and the news is a bit of a blow for him and for us."

Meanwhile, Willie Manu and Peter Cusack are set to play against St Helens in the Super League after returning from injury.
