Colbon has recently recovered from a broken jaw |
Hull Kingston Rovers winger Liam Colbon will miss a further five to six weeks after injuring his knee in training. Colbon was on the verge of a return from a broken jaw but now faces a further spell on the sidelines. "He's got a medial knee ligament problem similar to the one suffered by Ben Galea," Robins coach Justin Morgan told BBC Radio Humberside. "It's just one of those things that happened in training and he will be missing for five to six weeks." Ben Cockayne has been called upon to replace the former Wigan player in his absence and Morgan says he will continue to be a suitable replacement but admits Colbon's absence is a blow. "He's been very consistent for us and we were looking forward to having him back but Ben has done an improved job for us each and every week and I think he's got better in the position," he said. "We'd love to have Liam back, of course, but we've got a worthwhile replacement in Ben Cockayne." Meanwhile, Rovers have some positive news on the injury front as New Zealand international centre Jake Webster has recovered from a hip injury in time for this week's Super League home game with Catalans Dragons.
