Colbon was injured in the build-up to Welham's try |
Hull KR's Liam Colbon could be out for several months following surgery on the broken jaw he sustained in the 16-10 loss to Catalans on Saturday. The 25-year-old winger was taken off on a stretcher after the incident. He was kept in hospital in Perpignan overnight but had the operation on his return to England on Sunday. Hull KR coach Justin Morgan said: "He has got a plate in his mouth and is going to be out for six weeks or a couple of months." The Rugby Football League's review panel will study referee Ben Thaler's report and video footage of the incident before deciding whether to take any action. Morgan added: "Losing him is a blow because he had been playing really well for us." | 606: DEBATE |
Also, KR wing Peter Fox has a dead leg and is struggling to be fit for Friday's derby clash against Hull. The England international is rated only 50-50 for the Craven Park clash but Morgan is confident he has adequate replacements available. Morgan said: "We will have to see how he goes tomorrow but I am fairly comfortable with the squad at the moment. "We have got Ben Cockayne who can fill in that role and Mike Ratu is an outside back. "Chaz I'Anson and Liam Watts also come back into contention, so there're two positives. "We may have to shuffle things around but the 17 we put out will be ready for battle."
