York City Knights will not rest players for their final game of the season in National League Two in preparation for the play-offs. The Knights play Rochdale on Sunday but player-coach Paul March said they are keen to make sure they get the win. He told BBC Radio York: "We'll only rest people who are not 100%. "Danny Ratcliffe has been struggling a bit with his hamstring but if he says he's 100% this week he will go straight back in." March added: "Steve Grundy is away on family commitments so Ryan Esders will be coming straight back in to the team after 13 weeks out so that will strengthen us in there. "Obviously there's Dave Buckley to come back in as well. But if Bucko's not 100% he won't be risked and Scott Woodcock will keep his place." | I can't see Danny Grice figuring again this year and the same with Scott Rhodes York City Knights coach Paul March |
Meanwhile March said there is bad news about Danny Grice and Scott Rhodes who has been missing for most of the season with a neck injury. "Danny Grice took a bad knock against Hunslet in the reserves. He's waiting to see a consultant. He's still got loss of movement in one of his shoulders so I can't see him figuring again this year and the same with Scott Rhodes. "Scott's come back training. He's four weeks into his rehab and he's starting to get loss of feeling again so we'll probably go without those two." Rob Spicer is also likely to miss the rest of the season with an ankle problem.
