York maintained their unbeaten start to the season after an own goal by Matt Crowell handed them a point.

City defender David McGurk deflected the ball into his own net to put Northwich ahead but Richard Brodie equalised from Simon Rusk's cross.

Brodie missed a chance to put the visitors in front before John Allan scored for Northwich from 25 yards.

Allan could have extended the lead and paid when Crowell turned Daniel McBreen's past Scott Tynan to level.
