Isle of Man snowboarder Zoe Gillings has taken gold with back to back wins in the cross races at the Italian Federation Internationale.

The 25-year-old British number one, who is still recovering from an Olympics injury, showed strong technical form to come out on top in both races.

Britain's number one remains positive about her future ambitions despite facing a funding cutback.

She said: "It's three weeks until the World Cup and this race was training.

"I didn't expect to win as it's been a really tough season but everything just fell into place and I won both competitions. I'm absolutely over the moon." she added.

Gillings hurt her left knee in the semi-finals of the Boarder-X event at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver last year.
