Hannah Miley doubled her gold medal haul with two more wins on the final day of the Scottish National Championships at Tollcross in Glasgow. With earlier golds in the women's 200m backstroke and 200m individual medley, Garioch's Miley, 23, first added the 200m butterfly title in 2:13.63. Then in the 400m IM, Miley finished first in 4:41.88, with Middlesbrough's Aimee Wilmott second in 4:47.42. Kris Gilchrist won gold in the men's 200m breastroke in 2:13.28. His Edinburgh University team-mate Michael Jamieson picked up the silver medal, touching home in 2:13.68, while almost six seconds behind was bronze medal-winner, Stirling's Jamie Ross. Miley led from start to finish in the 200m butterfly, chased at various stages by Libby Francis (St Thomas), Georgia Barton (Gallica) and Katie Ambridge (Hatfield), the latter pair picking up silver and bronze respectively. Emily Jones was crowned the Scottish Junior champion and the women's 400m medley relay gold medal was claimed by Edinburgh University with a time of 4:22.27. And on a successful day for the club, they also won gold in the men's 400m medley relay in 3:53.04.
