Guernsey swimmers go to English Schools National Relay

Three Guernsey swimming teams will travel to Coventry this weekend to compete in the finals of the English Schools National Relay competition.

Elizabeth College is sending both an intermediate and senior team, whilst Boys Junior Grammar School has also qualified for the event.

The teams qualified in regional heats and will now compete against the top 16 schools from all over England.

The finals will be held at the 50m Olympic pool in the city.

The event, which starts on Saturday, takes the form of two heats of eights, followed by a final on Sunday.


Boys Junior Grammar School Team: Luke Winberg, Miles Munrow, William Mansell and Jay Mason

Elizabeth College Intermediate Team: Oliver Nightingale, Luke Belton, David Hall, and Joe Ogier

Elizabeth College Senior Team: James Jurkiewicz, Jacob Cherry, Stewart Hume, Adrian Aplin and Joshua Lewis.
