Mike Hoffman extended Belfast's lead in the third period before Jerramie Domish replied early in the final period. Dan Welch restored Belfast's three-goal advantage with two minutes left before Robert Dowd's late Sheffield strike. In Friday's game, the Giants took a 12th-minute lead through Jeff Mason's goal but Sheffield were soon level. Domish struck the equaliser on the power-play after 18 minutes and Ashley Tait won it for the Steelers with eight minutes left.
