Bacchas A beat title rivals Vikings A 4-3 to move a point clear at the top of the Mixed Hockey Premier League with only one match remaining. Goals from Andy Bridson, Louise Corkill, Andy Whiting and Dave Kneale saw the Tromode side seal both points on offer in a closely fought match. Vikings replied through Zoe Carney and Dave Millward with two goals. Meanwhile Valkyrs A's title hopes suffered a blow as they were held to a goalless draw by Castletown Celts. The westerners were unable to find a way through the tight defences of Celts and must now win in their final game and hope that Bacchas slip up if they are to have any chance of claiming the title. At the other end of the table Vikings B claimed their first victory of the season over Valkyrs B with a 4-2 to ease relegation fears. The Douglas side are now one point away from safety and must win their last game to ensure survival. Elsewhere Ramsey A beat Bacchas B 2-0 with Hannah Grubb and Laura Bellwood finding the net for the northerners. The final games of the mixed season will be played on 30 April.
