Viking Ladies gear up for Hockey Vase semi finals

Vikings Ladies team
Vikings won their fourth consecutive Isle of Man title in 2010

Vikings ladies are hoping to maintain their 100% record as they play Alderley Edge in the semi-finals of the England Hockey Women's Vase on Sunday.

The Manx team qualified for the competition after winning the Isle of Man Women's Premier League.

The team have scored an impressive 127 goals in 19 games and remain unbeaten in all league and cup competitions.

Alderley Edge are 15 points clear at the top of Cheshire Division One, losing only once this season.

Vikings will be looking to improve on last year's campaign when they were knocked out at this stage.

The winners will play either Guernsey or Worthing in the final on 16 April at Tonbridge School, Kent.

The Women's Vase, which is a straight knock-out competition, has been running since the 2000/01 season.
