 LLoyd Taggart is the British V40 Fell Running Champion
Lloyd Taggart claimed victory in Sunday's second round of the Manx Mountain Bike Club's Winter XC Challenge at South Barrule Plantation. Taggart, 41, the reigning English and British Over-40 Veterans fell running champion, completed the six-lap elite race in one hour 45.23 minutes. "It was nice fluid course. Stephen Clauge won the four-lap Senior class in 1:04.10, finishing 16 minutes ahead of David Griffin, with Slavek Marchewka completing the top three. Jackie Lee was the first lady home in 1:30.15, to claim 11th place in the senior class. Nick Corlett, 15, took a comprehensive victory in the 14-16 age group, with a time so good he would have finished second in the senior class. Meanwhile, Nathan Draper won the 12-13 age group. The final round will be held at Archallagan Plantation on 5 December.
