Kevin Loundes
Loundes has now won both rounds of the Cross Country League

Kevin Loundes made it two wins out of two in the second round of the Manx Gas Cross Country League held at Crossag's Farm in Ramsey on Sunday.

The Manx Harrier finished the 7.6km race in 29 minutes 12 seconds, beating Simon Skillicorn by well over a minute.

"I went off really hard from the start and managed to establish a good lead which I could build from," said the 30-year-old.

Mike Garrett finished third overall and first in the Vet40 class.

Loundes continued: "I'm delighted to win the first two rounds and it was a really good cross country course. It had two climbs which were quite close together and plenty of tight corners."

Gail Griffiths won the ladies race by over five minutes from Ann Cain with Janette Gledhill third.
