Paul Crook won the Manx BMX Championships 2010 on Sunday at Ramsey for the first time since riding as a junior more than 20 years ago.

The 31-year-old won all four races in the 16+ class in convincing style to defeat reigning champion Juan Watney, who has held the title since 2006.

It completes a successful season for Crook, who won both the club race series and the open series this year.

Watney finished in second place with Andrew Dowson taking third.

More than 50 riders aged four upwards took part in the championships.

In the Under-16 race, Colin Clague took the title after a day of consistent performances.

The win capped off an impressive season for Clague, who finished eighth in the British BMX Championships for 15s on 19 September in Somerset.

Elsewhere, Brandon Cain won the 12s, Jack Kissak the 11s, Lewis Parker the 10s, Tyler Cain the nines, Charlie Gibson the eights, Matt Black the sevens, Oliver Harrison the sixes and Arran Kynnaston the fives.
