Maiden English win for Guernsey cyclist Josh Gosselin

Gosselin will ride for Guernsey at October's Commonwealth Games

Guernsey cyclist Josh Gosselin secured his first ever victory on English soil at the Sigma Sport National B road race in Surrey on Sunday.

Gosselin put in a perfect race to finish out in front of the 70-strong field on the 64 mile course.

Fellow Guernsey riders Phillip Touzeau [12th], Alex Wilson [13th] and Leon Ogier [14th] also finished strongly.

Gosselin has been selected to represent Guernsey at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

The quartet also put in strong performances during Saturday's 26 mile time trial, with Gosselin the first to cross the line, and finishing seventh overall.

Ogier finished in eighth, while Touzeau [ninth] and Wilson [14th] also impressed.
