Gosselin wins 25-mile time trial

Gosselin is only 21 seconds off Commonwealth Games qualification

Josh Gosselin won the Guernsey Velo Club's 25-mile time trial on Sunday, but just missed out on the qualifying time for the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Gosselin came home in a time of 54 minutes, 21 seconds, 21 seconds outside the qualifying time for the Games.

Grant Chalmers came second, 52 seconds behind Gosselin, with Leon Ogier in third a further 25 seconds behind.

Tobyn Horton was the first cyclist to qualify for the Dehli games, achieving the necessary qualification points at the senior races in Belgium.

Ann Bowditch, James McLaughlin and Dan Arblaster have also made progress towards the times they need to qualify.
