Le Tissier wins 100km road race

Cyclists in the 100km road race
Le Tissier punched the air in triumph as he crossed the line

Stuart Le Tissier won the 100km Road Race with a powerful sprint to the finishing line.

Twenty two riders took part in Guernsey Velo Club's longest race of the season, which involves 10 laps of the hilly reservoir circuit.

Matt Osborn, Rob Smart, Leon Ogier, Philip Touzeau and Le Tissier split from the pack followed by two chasing groups.

But Le Tissier powered to the front to finish in two hours and 53.52 minutes.
