Priaulx is the only driver to have competed in all 100 WTCC races |
Guernsey driver Andy Priaulx struggled in the latest round of the World Touring Car Championship in Portugal, scoring just two points. Priaulx dropped to ninth in race one to give BMW team-mate Augusto Farfus pole position in the second race. Farfus went on to win, but Priaulx only managed to move up two places to seventh on the street circuit. "Street circuits are always fun, but frustrating too. They're more difficult for overtaking," said Priaulx. "The circuit is amazing and it's on my list of favourite circuits in the world. I would have loved more points, but that's motor racing," he added. It was the 100th race since the FIA World Touring Car Championship was restarted in 2005, with Priaulx the only driver to have started all 100 races.
